What was speculation is now official. The Carolina Panthers will be without their two most important cornerbacks for another week of football.
Jaycee Horn and CJ Henderson were ruled out of the Panthers' Week 12 matchup with the Tennessee Titans, according to ESPN's David Newton.
Newton reported that Horn and Henderson did not travel with the team to Tennessee, meaning the two players listed as doubtful on Friday won't be playing again.
Henderson is missing his third straight game. What makes his lack of travel with the team confusing is that he was a full participant in practice on Thursday and Friday. It was believed he was trending in the right direction, but ultimately he wasn't green-lit for the contest.
Horn has been working back into the fold since returning from the injury reserve list on Nov. 13.
He was the less surprising player not to be in uniform come Sunday. Recently, Frank Reich hinted that he may not return this season at all.
Horn has missed more than half of the games he could have played due to injury since being drafted in 2021.
The word that sums up Horn's career thus far is simple -- disappointing.
So, for another week, the Panthers will have to make do without starting-caliber cornerbacks in the secondary.
