Tottenham winger Bryan Gil is reportedly looking to leave North London this summer due to his limited playing time in the current campaign.

The youngster has made the decision to return to his former club, Sevilla, for the next season.

According to the Spanish news outlet Estadio Deportivo, Gil may reject other offers in favour of returning to Seville, highlighting his strong desire to reunite with the Andalusian club.

The report claims that the player has ‘flatly refused’ to go out on loan again and wants a permanent move away.

It is said that he will not entertain any other offers as his heart is set on a return to Sevilla and he is fully focused on making that happen.

The right-winger has predominantly been a spectator for Spurs’ games, featuring as a starter in only 2 out of his 10 Premier League appearances and accumulating just 189 minutes of playing time.

His absence from the squad in 7 of the last 9 league fixtures suggests that he is not in Ange Postecoglou’s immediate plans, potentially signalling his imminent departure from Tottenham this summer.

Since joining the Lilywhites, Gil has been loaned out twice during consecutive winter transfer windows to La Liga clubs. First, he went on loan to Valencia, followed by a loan spell at Sevilla.

This time around, the 23-year-old is looking for clarity on his future by aiming to secure a permanent move to a new club.

Tottenham signed Gil from Sevilla in the summer of 2021, finalising the transfer for a fee of £21 million.

Despite his promising talent, the young forward has not lived up to his expectations in North London, yet to score his debut goal for the club.

This can be attributed primarily to a lack of opportunities, as well as his involvement in loan spells and injuries.
